John McCain for President!

No, I'm not a big John McCain fan. He's not nearly conservative enough. I understand that. However, when I look at John McCain on one side, and either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama on the other, it's a no-brainer; from now until Election Day, I may sound like the biggest John McCain fan ever born. The reason is simple: Clinton--and to an even greater extent, Obama--scare me to death.

Having said that, let me just pass along this bit of good news: The current Zogby Poll has MaCain beating both Clinton and Obama in a general election.

John McCain for President!

I'm with you all the way. NOT a McCain fan, but the alternative (either one) is horrifying, so he's going to get my vote.

I'll probably be with you by November... But for now, I'm still bitterly disappointed.

I'm glad to hear Skyepuppy say she's with me on this and Malott say that he probably will be by November. I hope all conservatives come to grips with the reality that this is our only choice this time around. I understand the apprehension about voting for McCain; I feel it to, believe me. However, when I hear people like Ann Coulter say that she'll vote for Clinton before she votes for McCain, I cringe. Either Clinton or Obama would be, as Skyepuppy said, "horrifying," and voting for either of them is not the only way to make that nightmare a reality. Conservatives just staying home and not voting at all will also do it, which is what I've heard so many of my conservative friends say they'll do.

We CANNOT let either of these two get into the White House, which is why I'll do whatever little bit I can to help McCain this time around and hope we have a better choice in 2012.
