Democracy vs. Communism
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. That being true, this satellite photo of the Korean peninsula speaks volumes about the comparative successes of communism and democracy.
As the photo shows, because of a shortage of electricity, with the exception of Pyongyang, where dictator Kim Jong-il lives, the communist North is in the dark after 9 p.m. The South, however, has plenty of electricity to power the modern conveniences of life.
These are the same people, but the different results of their respective systems of government are readily apparent.
