Democratic Leadership Reach Another New Low

I had just posted my comments on the contemptible way in which the elite media was handling the Cheney hunting accident story, and what do you know? I see the following headline on Breitbart.com: Democrats blast Cheney secrecy after shooting

Isn't that a surprise? The Democratic leadership and the nation's elite media are singing the same outrageous tune. They both want to turn a tragic accident into political gain.

Senator Hillary Clinton said this in commenting on the situation:

The refusal of this administration to level with the American people on matters large and small is very disturbing, because it goes counter to the way our constitutional democracy ... is supposed to work.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid offered this bit of brilliant insight:

I think the reason it took the vice president a day to talk about this is part of the secretive nature of this administration.

Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer of New York added the following:

In light of the recent shooting accident and all the questions surrounding his role in the leaking of classified national security information through his Chief of Staff Lewis Libby, there are many questions that Americans have for VP Cheney.

If these blatant attempts to use this accident for political gain do not disgust mainstream America's most ardent supporters of the Democratic Party, nothing will. This is pathetic.
