What's the Difference?
What's the difference between Islam and Judaism? Besides the differences in theological beliefs, there is the difference in the way in which the followers of the two faiths react to offensive language toward their respective faiths.
A Danish newspaper prints caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. Rioting breaks out across Europe and into Africa. Diplomatic sanctions begin, death threats are issued, and embassies are bombed.
A Northwestern University professor agrees with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in calling the Holocaust is a myth. Northwestern University President Henry Bienen calls the comment an embarrassment and an insult. That's it. No rioting, no death threats, no bombings.

Interestingly enough, there is evidence coming out now that this violent activity has been orchestrated out of Iran and Syria. It is one thing to express your outrage in an open forum...It is another one entirely to kill people and destroy property.
