Dems Struggling in Foley's Old District

Even the unofficial Democratic National Committee press agency, otherwise known as The New York Times, is beginning to sound a bit concerned about Democrat chances of gaining control of the House in next week's election.

The Times reports today that Joe Negron, the Republican running to replace Mark Foley in Florida's 16th Congressional District, is "running almost neck and neck with Tim Mahoney, the Democrat."

Question: If Democrats can't win in the former district of Mark Foley, what makes them so sure of their chances of winning everywhere else?

Today I heard Pat Buchanan, always reliable for promoting... Pat Buchanan... say that there will be a Democrat sweep next Tuesday.

I don't know who to believe. But I do know that if the Republicans hold on to both houses of Congress in the face of the negativity and Herculean efforts of the Press and the rest of the Left, it will be an incredible victory.

I listen to the radio quite a bit, and it is truly amazing how every story, every carefully chosen and placed word reflects the media's belief that America has a lot to be angry at Republicans about. Their bias has never been more transparent.

We will see.

I love the slogan "Punch Foley for Joe." What a great way to teach the voters that they're not electing Foley--especially after the Dems "outed" Foley after the last day he could withdraw his name from the ballot.

It should be a sweet election down there in Florida.

Simple. The whole world is deathly sick of Republicans. The real question should be, how can they win if what few people go vote don't get their votes counted because DEIBOLD and DSS have it fixed for the DEMS to loose. There is no accountability. There is no trust in our most basic American right, voting. The software is bogus. Many will just stay home because they know there is no Democracy here!

Mrs P,

I skipped the voting machines and cast a paper ballot. Anybody who doesn't trust the machines can do the same.

Your aspersions don't hold water.
