If This Doesn't Make Your Blood Boil, Nothing Will

In 2004, four U.S. security guards were transporting supplies for a catering company in Fallujah, Iraq, when they were ambushed and killed by gunfire and grenades. Their bodies were burned and dragged through the city. Two of the bodies were hanged on a bridge and photographed, while terrorists danced and celebrated below.

Intelligence sources identified Ahmed Hashim Abed as the mastermind of the attack, and he became one of the United States' most wanted terrorists, code-named "Objective Amber."

Now, three of the Navy SEALs who captured Abed face criminal charges and will be arraigned on December 7. What's their crime? Evidently, one of them gave Abed a fat lip.

According to a FOX News report, Abed "told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it."

SEALs Matthew McCabe, Jonathan Keefe, and Julio Huertas are facing charges ranging from dereliction of performance of duty to assault.

So, let's sum this up. U.S. security guards are ambushed, murdered, burned, dragged through the streets, and photographed hanging on a bridge while Islamic jihadists dance below.

U.S. Navy SEALs capture the murderous butcher who planned the ambush, and one of SEALs gives him a bloody lip. Now the SEALs are on trial.

Is there any hope that those who lead this country will ever regain anything remotely resembling common sense?

According to Jesse, Lawmakers' Votes on Healthcare Determine Their Race

On Wednesday, in criticizing Rep. Artur Davis, D-AL, for voting for against the House healthcare bill, Jesse Jackson stated, "We even have blacks voting against the healthcare bill. You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.”

Does this mean that you can't vote for the healthcare bill and call yourself a white man?

Sarah Palin's Facebook - Over 1 Million Supporters

The press likes to tell us that Sarah Palin is finished as a public figure. The Republican establishment likes to tell us that she would have no chance to win in 2012 if she becomes the Republican presidential nominee.

Sarah Palin's popularity tells us a different story. Her book Going Rogue was just released yesterday and already tops the Amazon.com best seller list. Talk show hosts line up to get her on their shows because they know her presence will send their ratings through the roof. Every comment she makes on any current issue makes national headlines for weeks.

Now, here's another bit of evidence of Palin's popularity: 1,017,361 supporters on her Facebook page.

Let's compare that to other Republicans being talked about as possible 2012 contenders:

Tim Pawlenty               11,084 supporters
Rudy Giuliani               18,197 supporters
Fred Thompson           27,535 supporters
Newt Gingrich              31,315 supporters
Bobby Jindal               70,098 supporters
Mitt Romney              104,957 supporters
Mike Huckabee         127,752 supporters
Ron Paul                     149,901 supporters

Yes, I know. Facebook accounts can't be used to predict presidential winners. I get that. However, when one potential candidate has over six times the number of supporters as the next nearest potential contender, that's not insignificant.

Jobs created or saved in places that don't exist. That's one way to speed up an economic recovery.

As if the irrationality of the Obama administration's fictitious statistic of "jobs saved" isn't enough, now we learn that there have been jobs "created or saved" in congressional districts that don't even exist.

Below is the amount of money spent and the number of jobs created or saved in Arizona according to Recovery.gov, the website set up by the Obama administration to track federal stimulus money.

You'll notice, highlighted in yellow, money has been spent and jobs have been created or saved in places like the 15th congressional district ($761,420; 30 jobs) and the 52nd congressional district ($59,414; 7 jobs). The problem is that Arizona only has 8 congressional districts.

The figures in the 86th, 40th, 9th, 00, 78th, 38th, 11th, 29th, 36th, 50th, 25th, and 18th, as well as in the 15th and 52nd already mentioned, indicate money spent and jobs created or saved in places that don't exist.

ABC News reports that Recovery.gov also indicates money spent and jobs created or saved in nonexistent places in Oklahoma, Iowa, and Connecticut, as well as in U.S. territories such as the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

No wonder President Obama thinks the economic recovery is going so well.

Obama Bows to Japan's Emperor Akihito

Barack Obama, President of the United States, bows low to Japan's Emperor Akihito. What else can this President do to show the world that the United States is now willing to take its rightful place as a second-rate country?
